Periodic Inspection
PI
During the PI we check whether the installation fully corresponds to the data stated in the EBI report. Combustion systems are equipped with control and safety equipment that can become disrupted and/or inoperable over time. Parts replaced in the meantime may have changed make or type, incorrectly connected or may not have been adjusted correctly. The combustion plant itself can be affected or contaminated by corrosion. An improperly adjusted, damaged or contaminated combustion system can pose a danger to you and your environment. Such an installation may produce an unnecessary amount of air pollutants and uses an unnecessary amount of fuel.
To prevent dangerous situations and additional air pollution, the Periodic Inspection is not only mandatory, but also a necessity. A periodically inspected and well maintained combustion installation, adds additional benefits for you as the owner of a more economical and safer installation, lower maintenance costs and a longer lifespan of the installation. Deviations are recorded and any changes are reassessed in consultation with the FSI/EBI expert. A PI report is made of the inspection, which is necessary to comply with the standards set by the appointed authority (Environmental Service).
